After an almost flawless start to the season October and November have been trickier months for the team. However as we head into winter Rovers are still just three points from the SPFL League One summit and still on course to roar back into the Championship at the first attempt. Whilst results haven't always gone our way lately there's still been some great performances and for us one player has stood out over the past few weeks, Dario Zanatta.
The young Canadian U-20 international joined us on loan from Hearts in August and after making an impact from the bench on a few occasions (sometimes for the wrong reasons), will be looking to secure a starting place sooner rather than later. Dario's biggest contribution so far was undoubtedly in the recent league win over Queen's Park, where his arrival in the second half heralded an injection of attacking dynamism in Rover's play, culminating in drilling home the opening goal just minutes after coming on. A Greig Spence header sealed the 2-0 win shortly after to bring to an end what had been a frustrating run of three straight defeats.
With the busy festive season almost upon us everyone at Tag is hoping that last week's victory provides a taste of things to come and hopefully by the time our next Player of the Month award comes rolling round, we'll be back on top of the league. We're confident the best is yet to come!
