If you've been keeping an eye on our blog and social media feeds, you may have heard that 2016 sees Tag Games turn 10 years old. We’ve come a long way since the mid 2000s, when three battle-hardened veterans of the Dundee games scene decided to set up their own mobile studio.
Mobile gaming has also come a long way too! Back then, we crammed our first games into the 64k available on JAVA feature phones and over the years, we've gone on to bigger and more ambitious projects as we've grown into a team of 50. Today, we're proud to have established ourselves as one of the UK's premier mobile and F2P developers, with the likes of Rovio, Ubisoft and Activision amongst our partners.
To celebrate this milestone birthday, the Tag Team pulled on their finest overalls and headed out for a day’s racing at ScotKart Dundee. Rivalries were formed, rules were broken and a few bruises received as the team got down to business on the asphalt. A great time was had by all and special shout-out has to go to our Head of Design Brek Carr, who bagged the fastest lap of the day at a nippy 29.967 seconds.
With kerosene fumes still fresh in our noses, the team headed out for dinner, drinks and a few very large slices of cake to toast the occasion. It's been a fantastic first decade for Tag Games in the mobile business and we can't wait to see what the next ten years brings!
