On Sunday 9th September, our Head of Business Development, Nina Cliff, will be doing the Great North Run to raise money for Special Effect .
The Great North Run has been running for 37 years and is the biggest half marathon in the UK and the World with over 57000 runners taking part.
Special Effect is a charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games.
The team do so many incredible things, enriching the lives of people with disabilities, enabling them to play, communicate, interact, have fun and immerse themselves in many worlds through adapted games technology.
By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, Special Effect are finding a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities. By levelling the playing field, they bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.
