Launching Our Own Tech in 2015

Tag Games has always been forward thinking in our approach to the tools and services we develop to support our games and in 2015, we were able to take some of these tools and services and make them available to developers for the first time through the ChilliWorks product suite.

February this year saw the launch of ChilliSource, a free to use, multi-platform game engine. ChilliSource was created as an open source alternative to developing games with third party providers, giving you full control of your project without any restrictions. Since the initial launch, there have been 12 releases already and over 1,800 commits to the GitHub repository. You can download and try ChilliSource yourself direct from the GitHub repository -https://github.com/ChilliWorks/ChilliSource.

In September of this year we followed up the release of ChilliSource by launching the beta of ChilliConnect, a combined game backend and metrics platform. ChilliConnect provides developers with everything they need to build, measure and manage live games using. Since the Beta launch, the ChilliConnect feature set has grown rapidly with the addition of Push Notification support in October, User Storage in November and DLC Management and IAP Validation coming in December. We've already received a lot of positive feedback from developers and publishers who have tried out ChilliConnect and, if you've not already done so, you can sign up to the beta now for free - https://test-dashboard.chilliconnect.com/signup.

There's a lot more to come from both products next year with plans for extended platform support and rendering engine updates in ChilliSource, as well as a number of updates to ChilliConnect including SDKs for Unity and Android plus some major new features as we build up to our v1.0 release in early 2016.
